About GalleryFront.com
This service has evolved a number of times. We started out as a gallery looking for a
website we could show artists
and collectors who came into the gallery trying to sell their art.
Because a non-in-house inventory management system didn't exist,
we had one created.

Projects
We are an all-for-one group. We have many collaborative projects to promote all member
galleries. If you are going to create an ad pamphlet for $40,000 to be sent to 50,000
art collectors -- why not collaborate your efforts with someone doing the exact same thing,
cutting your advertising costs by nearly 40%? Ideas like these have helped
create GalleryFront.com.
The Catalog
|
The September Art catalog was completed and can be
seen
here
at scribd.com.
(the last 20 pages are the
more art-for-investment pages). Our Christmas catalog
will be much larger. Contact us to get on the waiting list to
be a part of these collaborative projects.

The Initial Vision
"Hello, I'm a collector. I saw that you sell art by LeRoy Neiman. I have a Neiman print I need to sell.
Do you know what it is worth? Do you have any clients who would be interested in buying it?"
Questions like these are common for gallery owners. We invisioned a gallery owner or dealer
giving a card to artists and collectors. The card would show them how to post art on the art dealer's
"GalleryFront.com Store Front." The dealer would receive information and 'to do' lists
concerning his or her inventory, receive buyer's contact information, etc.
For the current model of the site, charging galleries a monthly fee does not seem
logical.
The Evolution
We're getting closer with this last round of updates.
Our goal is not to make money from the service -- we already sell art and make money doing so.
Also, everybody knows that, right now at least, very few people are actually making art sales online.
Leads are gotten through online posts. Customers are finding the art they want online, but the sale
is rarely happening through a simple web form.
Sure, there are 70%-off sales on eBay, but the big sales are happening over the phone, in person,
and through multiple email contacts.
We hope that this website helps accommodate your art sales process.
Collaboration
The true goal here is collaboration. A lone website selling 15 to 100 artists will get about
200 unique visitors per day if they're ranked well on search engines with specific keywords and
key phrases. If, however, their 100 artists are teamed with the inventory of thousands of other
members, our collaborative web traffic goes up.
