From Wednesday, the 22nd of August 2007 until the 23rd, we are offering free art appraisals (if you are reading this after the 23rd, our appraisals are normally $79 — feel free to follow the steps below anyway). The current market rate for an art appraisal is at least $300. If you are interested, follow these steps:
1) Email the code “ArtAppraise89907″ in the subject line to jeremy@galleryfront.com
2) Do not include or attach images to the email. In the body of the email, type the artist’s name, title of the piece, dimensions, medium, a brief description of the piece, provenance, and a detailed description of the documentation that accompanies the piece.
We are contacted quite often about doing art appraisals. We used to do them regularly and now only do them sparingly as they take a lot of time. Normal prices for art appraisals are in the $300 range. We only charge $79. Also, if your piece is not worth much, we will not charge anything. We must view information about your piece before completing the appraisal because there is a chance that we cannot do the appraisal for you. In any case, call 720.249.2853 if you’re interested in an appraisal.
